Deviating from the baby topic for a bit, I wanted to share some pictures of the project my awesome hubby has been working on this weekend. Since we bought this house, we have wanted to do some landscaping in the front yard. The previous owner's idea of "landscaping" was an area loosely cordoned off by a couple of 2 x 4's and then lots of these long, grassy filler plants. Not very visually appealing.





Here's what it looked like after Will pulled all of the grass out and started building the retaining
wall.

I cannot tell you how thankful I am for a husband who is such a hard worker and so motivated to get things done. [I'm also pretty thankful for the "pregnant card" I can conveniently play at times like these...not gonna lie.]

Next big home improvement project on the agenda: remodeling the kitchen! Our new cabinets arrive tomorrow, and then the fun begins: cleaning out the kitchen, removing the granite counter top (hopefully without destroying it), demolishing the old cabinets, repairing and painting the walls, installing the new cabinets, re-installing the counter top, putting in the new over-the-stove microwave, and then re-organizing the kitchen...and probably a few other steps that I've left out. Whew...LOTS of work ahead but it will be so nice to have a functional & pretty kitchen! [And by "lots of work" I totally mean lots of work for Will and a lucky friend of his...again, thankful for that preggo card ;) ]
