Well, tomorrow is the BIG day!! We go to the hospital tonight, then start the induction process in the morning. Hopefully we'll be holding our baby boy tomorrow night!! The nerves are definitely starting to set in as I realize more and more that I have no idea what to expect. Tomorrow is a humongous question mark and the doubts are bombarding my mind. What if I'm not prepared? What if the epidural doesn't work? What if I can't handle the pain? What if something goes wrong? But I am confident that whatever helps us get to the end goal of having Evan here at last is totally worth it. Whatever tomorrow brings, my prayer is that our baby boy will be born healthy and whole......and that Evan won't make us wait too long to meet him :)
We've been so blessed through this whole pregnancy, and even more so as we near the end. The support we've received means so much to us - I know we couldn't do this without it. So thank you to everyone who has been thinking about us, praying for us, and encouraging us! It truly is incredible for us to see just how much Evan is loved already, and I am overwhelmed by how many people are anticipating our little guy's arrival into this world. It won't be long now!

The Waiting Game
School is officially out for the summer and I am officially DONE! It was a very bittersweet day for me - on the one hand, SUPER excited to be finished with this school year; on the other hand, sad to be saying goodbye to my wonderful school family. I have seriously been so blessed the last two years working at Little Flock Preschool/Good Shepherd Christian Academy, and am convinced I have worked with the BEST people ever.
Now that the teaching chapter of my life has closed (at least for the foreseeable future), I am so very ready to begin the mommy chapter. As of this afternoon, I am playing the waiting game...no agenda to keep, no schedule to follow, just waiting for our little boy to make his appearance. And I couldn't be happier to be doing just that. I get to spend my time relaxing, enjoying the time off, and getting things done at my own pace. All the important stuff is ready for Evan now, so he can come anytime! Here are a few pictures of the nursery:

There are still a few finishing touches I'd like to add, but for the most part it's ready. What a relief! I never tire of walking into the room and imagining him in it as I look over every item that we've picked out or has been given to us. Every piece of furniture, every book, every accessory has been placed in his room with love, accompanied by dreams of him enjoying every bit of it one day. This mama's heart is pretty much bursting with anticipation, excitement, and gratitude when I think of how close we are to his arrival. Any day now!!

I Wonder...
I wonder what I would do without my wonderful hubby and all the things he does for me, like:
*Cook when the only thing I have the energy for is sitting on the couch
*Help me out of said couch when I can't heave myself off of it
*Tell me I'm "tiny" when I feel like a whale
*Paint my toenails because I can no longer reach them
*Put together all of the new furniture for the nursery
*Carry the laundry basket down to the basement because he doesn't want me to overdo it
*Remind me to take my prenatal vitamins on a daily basis
*Allow me to vent after a particularly tough day at school...or when I'm achy and uncomfortable...or when there's really no reason other than being hormonal and pregnant
*Run to the store to pick up something for dinner that I've forgotten...or to get that ice cream that I just can't live without
There are so many other things that Will has done for me the last 8 months, but there just isn't enough room to list them all. I honestly don't know how women survive this whole pregnancy thing, not to mention after the baby is born, without a helpful & supportive husband. I am SO grateful that I don't have to do this alone!
