...Evan William!!
Our ultrasound was this afternoon and we are officially having a boy! As soon as the ultrasound tech said the word "boy", I hear a huge "YES!" behind me - needless to say, Will's pretty excited about having a son :)
The ultrasound was amazing. At one point he was looking straight at us, and it was so surreal thinking that this is our first real look at our baby...WOW. [We did have an ultrasound at 9 weeks, but let's be honest - the baby pretty much looks like a blob at that point.] My eyes were glued to the screen as we watched our baby boy moving his hands and kicking his legs. What an incredible experience!
Another amazing experience is feeling him move! The past few days I have started feeling kicks, and today those kicks have been coming a lot more frequently. I love these little reminders that he's in there and all is well. I can't wait until Will can feel them, too.
Here are a few pictures of our son!

For the most part he cooperated during the ultrasound, but as soon as she switched to the 3D view, he hid his face! His two little hands are right up there covering his face, so all you can see is the side of his head, but I think this picture is absolutely precious.
Great profile picture. Will thinks he can tell that Evan has his deep-set eyes...I guess we'll see in June!
Oh Kim, I'm so excited for you! Truly, having a boy is such a blessing (as I'm sure having a girl would be too :). Feeling the baby move is definitely the most wonderful feeling ever! I miss that (even though I don't miss being pregnant :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again, and Evan William is a beautiful name!
Congrats Kim! So excited for you! Love his pics. He must get that camera-shyness from the Stauffer side of the family! ;)
